Rockfish Covid Policy ~ July 19th

We want to ensure that you have an easy, hassle free experience visiting Rockfish, that's completely safe and still great fun. Throughout all government guidelines changes, each of our restaurants has been adapted and every member of our team has undergone thorough training on all the current procedures required to keep you reassured.

As the world keeps adjusting to new norms and expectations, we’re enhancing the Rockfish experience for you. We have expanded our commitment to cleanliness and these strengthened procedures are designed to give you even greater confidence in our teams and the hospitality that they deliver.

Communication

We’ll share as much information as possible to provide assurance and transparency prior to any visit to Rockfish. 

We will keep updated all our pre-arrival email communications to provide any additional information relating to health and hygiene, making sure that all our guests have received all necessary information to make the most of their visit.

Bookings

Eating Inside & Outside the Restaurants ~ Tables are limited to 8 people. This is our current Rockfish policy to keep both our staff and our customers as safe as possible (which is continually reviewed).  If you wish to arrange for a larger group please call the restaurant direct and discuss it with the manager who will arrange to accommodate you safely.

Pre Arrival 

You can book direct online here or by calling the restaurants directly, numbers are available on this website.   

We politely request that if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 that you call us to postpone your visit. 

Arrival 

Again we politely request that if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 that you do not enter the restaurant. Any guests or visitors displaying Covid-19 symptoms will be asked to leave the premises.

Face Coverings 

It is not compulsory to wear a face covering from Monday July 19th and it's now up to your personal choice. We imagine many of our guests and staff will still prefer to wear one. Your comfort and your needs are our top priority.

Our general rule is; if we see you wearing one, we'll wear one too. Every member of the team will carry a mask and will wear it for you upon request. 

Sanitising

Hand sanitising stations will be provided at entry / exit and all touch points

All surfaces, door handles and equipment will be regularly cleaned and sanitised every 30 minutes. 

If you have any special requirements please let us know before you arrive so we can make the necessary preparations with everybody’s safety in mind.

Cleaning

We undertake regular and rigorous sanitising around the restaurant throughout the day. We also close between 4-5pm to reset and undergo a full sanitising before evening service. 

Every table setting and area will be fully sanitised before and after each use to ensure no contamination occurs prior to your arrival. 

We have updated all our procedures to include extensive cleaning of all shared surfaces throughout the day by a dedicated person. 

Our usual high cleaning standards have been enhanced and updated to include a new risk-based approach and all team members have be trained accordingly, prior to re-opening.

Every service we will have a member of staff on site whose role is purely that of keeping the building safe and clean, they are also there to answer any queries relating to the current situation.

Any and all printed material has been designed for single use and will be disposed of ecologically directly after use.

Payment

We are encouraging cashless payments and contactless methods should be used where possible. Card machines when used will be sanitised between every use.

Our team: Training, hygiene & protection

All of our team have undergone comprehensive hospitality-focused training on how to prevent the contagion of Covid-19. We will continue to elevate our training as best practices evolve.

We check the health of all staff on a daily basis. 

We encourage our staff to wash their hands following the effective handwashing procedure regularly throughout the day as gloves can sometime provide a false sense of security. 

Every team member has their own personal hand sanitiser which they will carry at all times. 

Hand sanitising stations are located at all entry and exit points back of house for the teams to use.

Our operating procedures are clearly displayed throughout the back of house areas and extensive training given to all staff members.

We are dedicated to ensure we keep up to date with any changes to government guidelines, and therefore, subject to the latest guidelines we will be constantly reviewing our processes and precautions. This guide will be constantly updated to give you the very latest information.

Guest Health

It is essential that you do not travel to visit Rockfish if you are unwell or are demonstrating any Covid symptoms (fever, cough, loss of taste / smell).

Please let us know if you are worried about your symptoms ahead of your visit and we will move your booking to a future date to suit you.

Good Practice

We’re following all World Health Organisation and UK Government guidelines and have been actively following industry best practice from key bodies and specialists, as they have developed their strategies for us to adopt. We will continue to update our specific Risk Assessment, which identifies the possible risks and then develops the controls needed to reduce the risks. The result of this Risk Assessment is that we have invested in various types of equipment and implemented numerous policies and procedures into our sites to reduce the risk of infection and demonstrate to our guests that we offer an environment that is safe. We will continue to complete all necessary assessments and certification to validate our own policies. Please note that the guidance is changing constantly, so the following guidelines will continue to be adjusted as and when guidance is updated.
