About Whole Wild Brown Trout

Wild brown trout from Lough Neagh in Northern Ireland, the only place you can source this fish, and exclusively available for home delivery through the Rockfish Online Seafood Market.

Known locally as Dollaghan, this is wild trout at its purest. These fish live and feed naturally in the vast open waters of the lough before returning to the rivers to spawn, just like sea trout. Their natural pink flesh comes from a diet rich in freshwater shrimps, giving them a clean, distinctive flavour and firm texture.

Caught during a short, carefully managed season from March to August, landings are limited and availability is always dictated by nature. No antibiotics, no additives, no colourants, just properly wild fish.

A unique British seafood, and a rare opportunity to cook something truly different at home.
