Eat seafood in Dartmouth
The original Rockfish seafood restaurant in Dartmouth opened in 2010 and is situated on the South Embankment overlooking the spectacular river Dart. Bring the family for freshly caught, sustainable local fish landed that day and cooked to order, while you enjoy views out over the water. Our seafood is delivered to us daily from our own boat Rockfisher, and from other boats in the Brixham fishing fleet just across the bay next door to our Rockfish restaurant there. Join us for sustainably caught, fresh, local fish landed that day which we prepare by the harbour side at dawn to be delivered to our seafood restaurant in Dartmouth in time for lunch. Your server will talk through the daily selection available, marking each fish species down on your tablecloth and the different ways our chefs cook it to order for you - on the chargrill or crisp fried.
Eating outside in Dartmouth
From mid April in Dartmouth we have casual seating outside in a prime spot on the South Embankment which can be enjoyed until autumn when the weather is fine, Overlooking the River Dart and covered by big umbrellas you can enjoy drinks and great Rockfish seafood from our Embankment Menu. Our outdoor tables are subject to availability and weather.
Please note: This area is usually only available during the spring & summer season when the weather is fine.
Parking in DartmouthPlease note there is a road closure on the A381 northbound between Monday 9th and Friday 26th May which may mean it takes longer to get to us if you are driving.
If you are lucky you can grab a space on the road outside the restaurant on the Embankment. During the summer these spaces are 2 hour parking.
