South West Sardine Festival – Backed by Rockfish
The streets of Brixham were buzzing with the launch of the South West Sardine Festival – a lively celebration of the British sardine, the fishing community, and seaside summer fun. Inspired by the vibrant sardine festivals of Portugal and Spain, this brand new event was a full day of fantastic seafood, music, and community spirit.
What happened at the Sardine Festival 2025:
• Fresh sardines, cooked over fire by a brilliant line-up of guest chefs including Nathan Outlaw, Mitch Tonks, Mark Hix, Ben Tonks, and Kirk Gosden
• Live music and entertainment and bands throughout the day.
• A family-friendly vibe, with entertainers and activities to keep kids smiling.
• Festival wine, beer and refreshments.
This is a brilliant way to support our local fishing community, enjoy the freshest seafood in the country, and celebrate summer in true coastal style.
