Our Budleigh Salterton takeaway is a traditional beach hatch: walk up to the window, order, and minutes later you're eating fresh fish and chips with the sea in front of you. Pull up a picnic table right outside Rockfish Budleigh, or take your parcel and find your own spot along the pebbles. Either way, it's the best takeaway on the beach, and about as close to the water as chips can get.

Our Beach Hatch Menu

Being a beach hatch, we keep it simple: a tight menu of the classics, done properly. No fuss, no frills, just traditional British fish and chips by the sea (with a few breakfast baps to catch the morning walkers!)

Our line-caught haddock is MSC certified, caught from a fishery independently verified as sustainable. When you see the blue tick, it means someone other than us has checked.

How It Works

No need to book, no need to come inside. Walk up to the hatch, order your fish and chips, and we'll have you sorted in minutes.

Eat on the Beach

There are picnic tables right outside for the full beachside feast, or take your parcel and wander. Budleigh's long pebble beach is yours to choose from, and fish and chips always taste better with a sea view.
