Twice a year, every summer and winter, we like to pick a fish that will become the takeaway special for the season. We believe in celebrating the seasons with our menu, and that includes showcasing the freshest, most flavourful seafood available.

Exactly the same as in our restaurants, we will only ever pick a species that is abundant and a sustainable choice to offer. At Rockfish we are committed to bringing you the freshest and most sustainable seafood possible. This means we will always source our fish from sustainable fisheries and get it to you as quickly as possible, ensuring maximum flavour and freshness in every bite.

Having a seasonal special is also a good excuse to try something new! Why not step away from the usual cod and haddock and give a different fish a go! You never know, you might discover a new favourite!

What shall I have with my fish and chips?

Ask our friendly staff. If you’re feeling a bit stuck on what to choose our staff can help! They can tell you about the current seasonal fish offer and recommend what you could enjoy alongside it.

Don’t forget the tartare sauce! It’s a classic and freshly made. We also enjoy the curry sauce and mushy peas. In fact, why not put them together and get our curried mushy peas!

What’s currently on offer?

This winter our seasonal special is MSC Hake and Chips. Hake is a white-fleshed fish, part of the cod family. It’s a soft, delicious and incredibly succulent fish. Mild in flavour and tender, it’s a great alternative to your classic cod and chips.
