In the UK, we’re an island nation with an incredible and diverse array of some of the tastiest fish and shellfish on the planet. Yet most of us stick to just five familiar favourites - (cod, haddock, salmon, tuna and prawns) aka. “The Big 5”. Rockfish is on a mission to spotlight the best of British seafood and bring the freshest (but often underloved) selection of species to plates for everyone to enjoy. At Rockfish, we’re on a mission to change that. We want to shine a spotlight on the rich diversity of British seafood, bringing the freshest, most sustainable catches (including underloved local heroes) to your plate, so everyone can discover just how delicious our local waters really are.And where better to celebrate that than in Lyme Regis? A town with its own deep-rooted seafood heritage, sitting right on the doorstep of some of the UK’s finest fishing grounds.

Daily Landed Seasonal Seafood
Our team will also mark on the menu today's availability and prices of market fish from our list of seasonal, sustainably caught seafood and shellfish. This will be led by what has been landed by the fleet in Brixham that morning. Your choice of fresh fish will then be cooked to order and served with your choice of Cornish new potatoes, a green salad or unlimited chips.

For the first time, guests dining at Rockfish Lyme Regis will have access to a digital fishmonger counter, allowing them to order the freshest seafood straight from Brixham Fish Market for next-day delivery to their door. It’s just another way we’re bringing the very best of our island’s seafood to homes.
One Dog, One Warm Welcome
Our small but beautiful Lyme Regis restaurant is dog friendly, and we love welcoming our four-legged guests. To ensure everyone (including your dog) has the best possible experience, we operate a one dog per booking policy. Assistance dogs, of course, are always welcome. All we ask is that your dog stay on leads and keep their paws on the floor - no matter how tempting the seafood looks!

At Rockfish, our people are everything. We don’t just fill shifts - we build kitchens around care, pride, and high standards. And that’s something we’re not willing to compromise on. Because of that, from 11th May we’ll be closed on Mondays and Sunday nights for a short period, while we focus on growing our team.
When you dine with us, nothing changes - you’ll get the same Rockfish you know and expect: the freshest seafood, warm hospitality, and a kitchen and front-of-house team who genuinely love what they do. If you’re a chef, or you know someone who’d be a great fit, we’d really love to hear from you.
