Five years ago, we at Rockfish, embarked on a unique venture: to manage our own fishing boat, The Rockfisher. A bold step to bring our customers the freshest seafood, directly from the sea to their plate.
Tragedy struck in 2022 with the loss of our partner, Nick Fisher. A true fishing enthusiast, Nick was instrumental in launching this ambitious project. His passion for the sea and his deep understanding of the fishing industry were invaluable.
Now, his son, Rex, is taking the helm. In a remarkable display of courage and determination, Rex is embarking on the World's Toughest Row, a 3000-mile journey across the Atlantic Ocean. This gruelling challenge will test his physical and mental limits as he and his team of three more row solo, facing the relentless forces of nature.
Rex's mission is to raise funds for Tackling Minds, a charity that uses fishing as a therapeutic tool for mental health. It's a fitting tribute to his father's legacy and a testament to the powerful connection between the sea and well-being.
