Cooking instructions

We’ve prepared two sets of cooking instructions for you this year. One focuses on simple, straightforward cooking, while the other features recipes curated by our friend Mark Hix for those looking to try something a little more adventurous. Please note that Mark’s turbot recipe includes raw shell-on prawns, which can be purchased separately. Mark's recipes are shown further down the page.

Oven Roast

Cooking your Prime Turbot Fillets

Preheat your oven to 200’C

Line a baking tray with baking paper and carefully place the turbot fillets skin side up onto it. 

Generously top each fillet with Garlic butter and roast in the oven for 8 minutes 

Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before plating

Cooking your Scallops

Pre heat the oven to 220-240c, needs to be very hot.

Put the shells on a roasting tray.

Add a spoon of garlic butter on top of each scallop.

Sprinkle each one with a few breadcrumbs and a tablespoon of olive oil.

Bake in the hot oven for 5 minutes or until the breadcrumbs are golden and the port and butter is all bubbling together.

A simple, carefully chosen box built around a few exceptional ingredients. Inside you’ll find 4 Disco scallops in the shell, pot caught and naturally sweet, ready to cook quickly and let their quality speak for itself. Alongside them are 2 prime turbot fillets, beautifully handled and full of flavour, offering one of the finest eating fish you can buy.

To finish, a pot of caviar adds a quiet note of indulgence, there to be used sparingly or generously, depending on how the evening unfolds. 

This box is only available to pre-order. You can add in any of our frozen or tinned items to your order but anything from our fresh section will not allow you to checkout.

Your fish portions are individually vac packed which keeps the fish pristine, easy to handle, and completely odour-free, making unpacking and storing a breeze. All of the fish clearly identifies the boat that caught it giving full traceability and links you to cooking instructions.

Our delivery boxes are made from recycled plastics, offering strength and excellent insulation to keep your seafood perfectly chilled throughout its journey to your home. Our boxes are so good your order will stay cold for up to 48 hours which is much longer than your order will take to arrive to you.

You can even return your box to us, and we’ll work with our recycling partner to transform it into outdoor furniture - creating a sustainable loop for your order.
