About Tinned Mount's Bay Sardines
We started our tinned fish project with these Mount's Bay Sardines from Cornwall. They are prepared by hand, steamed, laid in tins and preserved in sunflower oil. Fat, succulent and delicious, these are so much more than a sandwich filler.
Wonderfully versatile and easy to use they are transformative in salads, pastas and as a simple tapas.

Tinned Mount's Bay Sardines
A good Friday market to round off the week. The diver-caught scallops are worth a look, and the Chalkstream trout and Glenarm salmon are both coming through in good quantity.
There’s a nice mix of fish on the counter too, monkfish, turbot, sand sole and silver mullet all offering something slightly different depending on what you’re after. The shellfish has finished the week well, with whole cooked crabs a good, easy option.
With around 2,400 portions across 24 species, it’s a solid market to get sorted before the Easter run begins. Eat better fish.
