Rockfish Salcombe dining room

Seafood restaurant in Salcombe

Fresh seafood at the water's edge, in the town that does summer best.

Salcombe is the kind of place people return to year after year, generation after generation, and if you're wondering where to eat while you're here, you've found it. Tucked at the end of the creek, our restaurant looks out across the estuary, where sailing boats drift past and the light changes by the minute.

It's a setting full of seaside nostalgia, best enjoyed with a plate of fresh seafood and a view of the water. This is a town that lives for the sea: crabbing lines off the pontoons, paddleboards on the morning tide, the little ferry chugging across to East Portlemouth and the beaches beyond. On sunny days, take a seat on the terrace and watch it all unfold; in cooler months, come inside, warm up by the log burner and settle in with a fisherman's coffee.

Slow-paced, sea-facing and full of charm, this is Salcombe at its best, and we're so proud to be part of it every summer.

A collage of the communities Rockfish support

Rooted in Community

We believe a restaurant should be part of its community, not just a place in it. Thanks to the generosity of our guests, who can choose to add an optional £1 to their bill, Rockfish supports local charities, community projects and inspirational people doing brilliant things close to home, in every harbour and seaside town we call home across Devon and Dorset. From youth clubs and sailing trusts to beach cleans and seaside festivals, discover what guest generosity is doing in your town.
