Rockfisher 2 has officially passed the halfway mark of their Atlantic crossing! Everyone at Rockfish is very proud of them!

They’re still battling challenges though! The weather has been absolutely scorching. They spent the last day of 2024 baking under a blazing sun, with the temperature soaring to a sweltering 35 degrees Celsius. And to make matters worse, there wasn’t a breath of wind. Very much the opposite to our weather here in the UK!

Rex has been communicating how thankful he is that he brought a comb with him on the journey, and believe it or not, it's been a real mood booster. Despite being dirty, salty, and sporting hair that's threatening to become a permanent dreadlock, having a comb has helped to make him feel a little more normal.

New Year!

New year was celebrated with the sunrise and the team enjoying a tin of peaches!

The team is witnessed a spectacular display of nature's power on New Year’s Day. To the north, a fierce storm was raging, with flashes of lightning illuminating the dark clouds. Meanwhile, they were enjoying a flat calm ocean. They also felt that the first day of the year might have been the hottest day they’ve experienced so far!
