Monkfish recipe

Monkfish Recipes

Firm and meaty monkfish is wonderful baked or barbecued, and also a great addition to a fish curry, chowder or pie.

In the online seafood market you can buy our monkfish in a variety of cuts, including fillets - perfect for individual portions  - or as a whole tail, which is great for baking and sharing. Watch out for our monkfish chops too - these work well simply grilled on the barbecue - a great alternative to steak. Simply melt our béarnaise butter over the top and serve with chips.

For inspiration on how to cook with monkfish at home, here are some of Mitch's favourite monkfish recipes.

Roasted monkfish chop with lime pickle butter

This monkfish recipe incorporates our delicious Rockfish lime pickle butter, and a hint of spice to create a warming and tasty seafood supper.

Monkfish roasted with 50 cloves of garlic, olives and basil

Don't be alarmed by the amount of garlic cloves in this monkfish recipe. During the cooking process they become incredibly sweet.
